Senior Web Administrator : Under direction, using
considerable journey-level skills, serves as a location website
administrator, confers with and advises faculty and staff on website
development issues, develops the
architecture and functionality of a location website, coordinates
the gathering of information to be placed on
websites, assembles and posts graphics and text, and is responsible
for the day-to-day maintenance and
operations of web sites at an assigned location.
Senior Web Administrator : A Senior Web Administrator
is the journey-level class in the series and performs the more complex
functions of administering web sites such as developing complex
architecture and layouts of web pages, assembling and posting graphics
and text, monitoring the
performance of websites and is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance
of websites for an assigned
location. A Web Administrator is the apprentice class in the series
and performs the less complex and routine
website administration tasks. The Principal serves as the highest
level in this series and has supervisory
responsibility for the District?s intranet, internet, electronic
messaging and workflow functions.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties/essential
functions may include, but not be
limited to, the following:
• Design and develop the architecture, layout and functionality
of a location website.
• Maintains, monitors, and prepares reports on the performance
of a location website.
• Troubleshoots and resolves operational issues of a website.
• Coordinate the gathering of information for placement on
web pages.
• Review/edit information to be posted to a website and ensure
that posted information is visually
consistent with District established graphic standards.
• Update the content and layout of web pages.
• Advise customers on issues concerning content and presentation
of information on the District?s
websites.
• Provide technical direction to lower level web administrators
and site developers.
• Recommend policies and procedures governing the posting
of material on location websites.
• Designs systems for data base generation, implements data
base integration, format and present data,
and monitor and maintain web-based data collection systems.
• Write and maintain on-line documentation.
• Serve as a technical resource for the implementation of
electronic messaging and workflow functions.
• Evaluate the applicability of emerging information technology.
• May serve as a project lead when implementing new web-based
technologies.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Basic Function:
Will maintain the COBRA/FSA internal and external Web environment.
This position is responsible for contributing to the creative development
of Web sites and for implementing site strategy and design/architectire
elements. This position will design, develop and maintain COBRA/FSA
Web envoronments and will have responsibility for monitoring and
maintaining the associated hardware, operating system, software
and utilities. Provides 24 hour a day, 7 day a week after hours
support.
Responsibilities:
Works with internal departments and external vendors on infrastructure
of the Internet and Intranet websites
Establishes internal process for updating content to websites using
content management software
Day to day administration and maintenance of websites
Participates in systems testing, usability testing and stress testing
Develops and delivers reports to clients and ADP management based
on monitoring site traffic and performance, as well as measuring
usage and growth of internet content.
Web server administration (WebSphere and IIS), recommending and
implementing new web technologies
Provides cross training and knowledge transfer to System Engineering
and Technical Consulting groups
Designs, implements and maintains system environment for various
web applications. Provides set up and configuration of web servers.
Provides 24 x 7 pager support.
